What a visit produces

When you open a page, your browser automatically sends technical details to the server that delivers the site: IP address, date and time, page requested, referring page, browser type and operating system. This data is processed in server log files so the site can be delivered securely, reliably and fast, and so attacks can be detected.

The site is run by an external hosting provider that processes this log data on our behalf and deletes it after a short time. Where the provider operates servers outside Switzerland, data is transferred only to countries with adequate data protection or under the standard contractual clauses recognised by the Swiss Federal Council.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files your browser stores. We use only technically necessary cookies so the site works properly, for example for the contact form and its spam protection. They contain nothing that identifies you. The web analytics (next section) works without cookies.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time.

In addition, for the duration of your visit the site remembers in your browser (session storage) whether the opening animation has already played. This entry contains no personal data and is deleted when you close the tab.

Web analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA, to understand which pages are visited how often, where visitors come from and which devices they use. The service sets no cookies. For each page view it records the time, the page, the referring page, approximate location (country, region, city), operating system, browser and device type. Visits are grouped by a hash derived from the request, which is discarded after 24 hours; the IP address is not stored.

The results are statistical and cannot be linked to a person. We use them to improve the site, not to identify or advertise to individual people. Vercel processes the data on our behalf; the transfer to the USA is based on the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the standard contractual clauses recognised by the Swiss Federal Council. If you do not want to be counted, block third-party scripts in your browser or use a suitable browser extension.

Contact form

When you write to us through the contact form, you send us the details you enter, for example your name, phone number or email address, your vehicle and your message. We use them solely to answer your enquiry and to carry out any resulting job.

A service provider may be used for delivery and spam protection, processing the data on our behalf. The transfer is encrypted.

WhatsApp and phone

The “Send on WhatsApp” button assembles a message from your selection and opens it in WhatsApp. Only when you send the message in WhatsApp do your details reach us and WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., Ireland). WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies there.

Whatever you tell us on WhatsApp or by phone is treated the same way as an enquiry through the contact form.

Fonts, images and 3D model

All fonts are served from our own server. No connection is made to Google Fonts or any other font service. The photos and the 3D model of the car are hosted on our server as well.

Links to other providers

This website contains links to websites of other providers. We are not responsible for their content or for how they handle your data; the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.

Sharing and transfers abroad

We pass personal data on only where carrying out your job requires it (for example to parts suppliers), where a service provider processes it on our behalf (hosting, analytics, form delivery) or where the law obliges us to. We use providers based outside Switzerland only where adequate data protection is ensured, in particular through an adequacy decision of the Federal Council or the recognised standard contractual clauses.

Retention

Server log data is deleted after a short time. Analytics data is kept in statistical form only. We keep enquiries for as long as it takes to answer them. If an enquiry turns into a job, we keep the business records as required by law, usually for ten years.

Security

The connection to this website is encrypted (HTTPS). We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection you have the right to

• find out whether and which personal data we process about you,
• have inaccurate data corrected,
• request deletion of your data, unless a retention obligation stands in the way,
• receive the data you gave us in a common electronic format,
• object to a processing operation.
